Birding in South Australia und North-West Queensland

My wife and I had a trip planned starting in Adelaide then going up the Birdsville track and finishing in Mount Isa. The big rain in Queensland stopped us from going - the Birdville track was massively flooded and when we were ready to go, it was still closed just south of Birdsville. Bad luck.

So we changed plans on short notice and enjoyed some very pleasant time in the Barossa Valley and the McLaren Vale before we headed to the Gawler Ranges to spend some time at Mount Ive Station birding along the way. After that we returned to Adelaide where we enjoyed another pleasant day before Hanna headed home to Sydney and I continued to Mount Isa for some more "hardcore" birding.
